A stately banker's house in a small village in the Swiss Alps on the border with Italy is to become the pride of the village after years of vacancy. The countless beautiful details in and on this house tempt us to renovate the building very gently and mainly to initiate measures to preserve the material. Renovated and modernized, together with the barn behind it, which is to be modernized for residential purposes, it should represent a harmonious combination of old and new.
